In a webcast yesterday, Master Sha was reminding
everyone of the one-sentence secret of Sound Power. "What you chant is
what you become!"
I thought about what I would like to become. What
words would have just the right resonance for me to transform my life. What words would allow me to be the
person I would like to be in the world? Master Sha teaches many mantras.
Ancient Mantras. New mantras. New versions of ancient mantras. They all share
the same secret, "Chant the Buddha to become the Buddha! What you chant is what you become!"
Then the words settled into me, "God's Perfection".
What am I seeking to express in my life? In my thoughts? In my words? In my
actions? God's perfection!
And so I sat and chanted this to silently to
myself, "God's perfection. God's perfection. God's Perfection."
I began to feel such peace. I began to feel a
letting go of all the things that were occupying my mind, all the stress that I
was holding so tightly, all the expectations, the disappointments. Negative
thoughts melted away to nothingness. I felt light pouring through me. I felt a
lightness and ease in my breathing. It felt...perfect!
Practice
Find a place to relax. Sit down or lie down. Close
your eyes. Focus your mind in your lower abdomen. Breathe all the way down to
the base of your spine. Relax. Begin to repeat silently to yourself,
"God's perfection. God's perfection. God's perfection." Let God's
perfection fill you. Let God's perfection become you. As you chant "God's
perfection", you become God's perfection.
Try to practice for at least 3-5 minutes, 3-5 times
a day. The more you practice the better!
May God's Perfection fill you and become you. May
we all be a perfect reflection of God's Perfection in thought, word and action!
What you chant is what you become!

DeleteDear Master Shunya,
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing this most powerful practice with us! Today I got up and really struggled. The last few days have been deeply purifying and many beliefs and structures all around me have been crumbling. It seemed that I had lost myself in the process. As I did your practice I started to feel deepest inner Peace again, I felt much more grounded again.
I will continue to practice throughout the day.
Thank you for this teaching and service!
I have just read your comment and I am so happy to hear that this practice has brought you some comfort in a hard time. I hope that things are transforming for you and that life is settling down a bit for you. When I was young, I learned a saying that still helps me to keep hope in trying times, "From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success!" Or as Master Sha says it, "Greatest disaster and greatest success come at the same time!" Stay connected with your soul and you will never loose yourself. Sending you lots of love!
